Alkimos College
The State Government’s Percent for Art Scheme encourages art in the built environment by commissioning art on new buildings including schools.
The Percent for Art Scheme requires up to one percent of the construction budget for new works over $2 million, to be spent on artwork.
Alkimos College has a number of Percent for Art Scheme artworks in and around the college buildings and grounds. These include our entry artwork on the corner of Hollington Boulevard and Santorini Promenade Bow Wave, Strata Hollow sculptures in our nature play area, the perforated screens around the walkways and sky bridge, boat seating near the café and our entrance foyer oil painting Pinna Shellfish #1.
