ATHLETICS CARNIVAL - Part 1
Last Friday Alkimos College held their Athletics Carnival! The rain stayed away which was a huge relief, and the students gave it their all, making the event one to remember. There was plenty of fun and excitement throughout the day.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our dedicated staff, whose hard work and support made this day possible. Your efforts behind the scenes, from setting up to running the events, ensured everything went smoothly. We are also incredibly proud of our students, who showed great sportsmanship and school spirit while competing and cheering on their faction!
Congratulations to Socrates for taking home the overall win! They were a class above all day and a deserving winner. A special mention also goes to Plato, the winners of our first-ever Novelty Events Trophy.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make this day such a success. We look forward to even more fun and competition at next year’s carnival!
The Interschool team will now get selected and represent the College at the SSWA Interschool carnival early in term 4!

JUMPS CARNIVAL
In Week 5 this term, in the lead up to the Athletics Carnival, students who signed up participated in the Long and Triple Jump Carnival. In a mist of drizzles, students were very impressive with their jumps! Well done to all the place-getters! Their points went towards the individual Champion results and the overall House results.
Thanks to the HPE team, Mr Meredith, Mr Jones, Mr Johnson and Mr Deasy who gave up their time to ensure the event ran smoothly.
